In sync with the International Monetary Fund - World Bank Annual Meetings taking place in Washingston DC, the Global Initiative for Governance and Sustainability - GIGS will hold a highlights hybrid debrief event to discuss the main takeaways and deliberations of these important meetings. The debrief will take place in-person in IMF headquarters and be broadcast online on Oct 17, 2025 at 3pm Washington Time. Andrei Radulescu
Senior Researcher at the Institute for World Economy within Romanian Academy
Andrei graduated the Ph.D. in International Economics at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies and the post-doctorate in Economics at the Romanian Academy, the highest scientific forum in the country. He worked as fundamental analyst and macroeconomist on the capital markets for seven years, and afterwards was Chief Economist of the largest lender in Romania and South Eastern Europe for almost 10 years, doing macroeconomic research and forecasting for world economy, Euroland economy, Romania, and Moldova. Starting 2014 Andrei is a Senior Researcher at the Institute for World Economy within Romanian Academy, doing applied macroeconomic research, from world economy (US, China), to Europe, CEE, and Romania.

Professor Trabelsi was elected President of the Canadian Academic Accounting Association. Professor Trabelsi has organized and spoke at many international conferences and seminars. These events have brought together academics and practitioners from across the province, Canada and internationally. He has been a frequent speaker and commentator on issues in the areas of governance and sustainability reporting for various news outlets, including TV, radio, and print media.
